The Youth Project
At the Little Edi Foundation it is our mission to help children at home as well as Moldova so in 2016 we started our Youth Project, funded grants for young people in the UK.
We work closely with local schools, youth clubs and community workers to identify children and young adults who need and deserve to make a change to their lives, or who have a history of volunteer work but cannot afford a paid gap experience as they look to a career in maybe charity, nursing, teaching or social care. We offer a number of funded grants each year.
We take the the young volunteers to rural Moldova where they help to distribute aid to the most needy communities and families. This is not always easy work but teaches them vital lessons in what is really necessary in life, some of these families literally have nothing but they are happy, they smile and their lives are rich with love. All young volunteers are fully supervised and all adult volunteers are DBS checked.

Do you know a potential Young Volunteer?
Do you have or know a child who is trying to turn their life around, who needs to build confidence, needs an experience of a lifetime? Get in touch, we will send you an application form and invite them in for a interview. See our testimonials page for an insight on the experience from previous volunteers.
What to expect on the trip..
- Sorting clothes and aid into age and gender appropriate bags for distribution to poor communities
- Buying and distributing food to some of the poorest families in Europe.
- Basic maintenance – helping the adult volunteers, maybe painting rooms, installing new furniture etc.
How can you help?
Would you or your business like to personally sponsor a child? It costs between £500 – £800 to send a child to Moldova on our Youth Scheme which is fully funded.
